Rules for bumper cars has a list of rules including a rule prohibiting running into other cars.

Even signs to keep the exit steps or ramp clear.

But one thing hasn’t changed. There are still plenty of exciting rides for the brave.

The emphasis on safety has changed over the years in the United States. Years ago, the only signage you saw at a fair was for the rides or booths. Today, however, warning signs and safety restrictions abound. The photos in this article were taken recently at a fair in South Georgia where rides were everywhere – ranging from simple safe rides or activities as in Photo one  to exciting, hopefully safe adventurous rides for older kids and adults as pictured in the final photo.

Note the emphasis on rules of conduct, height restrictions (and they were enforced), weight restrictions, and specific rules for many events.

Suggestion

Look at and read each of these signs. Think about your sport business or activity. Don’t you think you might be safer with some more safety signage?
